Dr. Hamlin grew up in New Hartford and graduated from high school there. He attended Utica College (now Utica University) where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo School of School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hamlin then served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corp, stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. It was there that he met and married his wife, Irina. Following his military service, he began his residency at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Orthodontics, where he received his orthodontic certificate.
Dr. Hamlin returned to New Hartford and joined Dr. Anthony Furino in the practice of orthodontics after his training was complete. He and Irina raised their two children, Rachel and Brian during his time as a partner with Furino and Hamlin Orthodontics. After many wonderful years in practice, he retired with his wife to her home state of North Carolina. A while into retirement, Dr. Hamlin began to miss the joy that orthodontics provides by giving people a beautiful smile. He is delighted to have the opportunity to return to practice with Dr. Caruso and Dr. Micaroni.
Dr. Hamlin is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics. He received his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics. In his free time he enjoys scuba diving and traveling to the national parks with Irina.
